Meet Yassir Sayd, the new Service Shop Manager at Sint-Denijs-Westrem. Yassir is 31 years young, dynamic, and super enthusiastic. Together with his new team, he goes all out and makes sure you get the best service!
Yassir, how did your career at Dockx progress?
I have been working for Dockx Rental as a Service Shop Agent since 2016. It still seems like yesterday that I arrived at the Dockx Service Shop in Sint-Niklaas to replace THE Freddy, an iconic figure within Dockx. Now, after over five great years, I get to take on a new challenge as the Sint-Denijs-Westrem Service Shop Manager. I’m really looking forward to this!
What do you like best about working at Dockx?
What I like most about my job is the social contact, both with customers and colleagues. I’ve always worked in a young team, so my colleagues have also become my friends. That is, of course, super cool. In addition, the variation within the work is also very nice. This ensures that no two working days are the same. My motivation is to do my best every day to help customers in the best possible way.
Are you passionate about cars yourself?
Ever since I was a child, I have been passionate about cars and motorbikes. I like to spend my free time tinkering and restoring Honda Monkeys and Daxes. A few rides in the summer are not to be missed. Apart from the small mopeds, I sometimes dare to tinker with my own car.
What music do you prefer while working? And in your daily life?
I love all genres of music. During work, we play various music stations in the Dockx Service Shop. One week, it may be Studio Brussel and the next, it may be Q-Music. This depends on the programme on the radio. In daily life, I try to catch the occasional local concert or festival, but mostly I just listen to my Spotify playlist in the car.
Do you have a resolution for 2021?
Despite the current Covid-19 situation, I hope to make 2021 a good and healthy year in all aspects of life. I’m really looking forward to the day when we can go back to eating and spending time with family and friends. A night out at the pub without social distancing and being together with the people we love; 2021 doesn’t need anything other than that!
