Renting a van with multiple drivers? Discover the shared key

Good news! Dockx Rental is introducing a brand new feature in the app, making your rental experience even more convenient and flexible. Sharing a rental van has never been easier. With the shared key, multiple people can pick up and drive the rented van. The shared digital key ensures smooth collaboration without complicated logistics.

How does the shared key work?
 

  1. Add drivers to your account: In the app, under 'Driver overview', you can add different drivers to your account. This allows you to easily assign a driver from this list when making a reservation.

    If the driver does not yet have an account himself, he will receive an invitation via e-mail to create his own account in the app. This private account will then be linked to your account.

     

  2. Make your reservation: You reserve a vehicle via the Dockx Rental app.
     

  3. Choose drivers for your reservation: When you create the reservation, you become the main driver yourself. During the reservation, you can add other drivers, by choosing an already linked driver from the list or by inviting a new driver. This driver will then be added to the reservation.
     

  4. Set off carefree with your vehicle: the added drivers can each use their private account to pick up the vehicle (with the digital key), drive the vehicle and return it.

  3. Choose drivers for your reservation: During the reservation process, you choose an already linked driver from the list or invite a new driver. This driver will then be added to the reservation.
     

  4. Set off carefree with your vehicle: the added drivers can each use their private account to pick up the vehicle (with the digital key), drive the vehicle and return it.
