Frequently asked questions

To pick up a rental vehicle at Dockx Rental, you need three documents: a valid Belgian identity card, a valid European driving licence and a credit or debit card.

Note: the cardholder must be personally present at pick-up.

You return the vehicle on the day the rental agreement expires, before 07:30 in the morning — unless you have agreed on another time.

Exceptions:

• Renting until Saturday included? Return the vehicle Saturday before 17:30.
• Renting until Sunday included? Return the vehicle Monday before 07:30.

Return the vehicle clean — inside and outside. A dirty vehicle may incur cleaning costs. Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles. If smoking is detected, we will charge €150 in cleaning fees.

You will receive your invoice and damage report by email upon return. You can also view them via 'My account' on dockx.be.

Returning outside opening hours is possible: park the vehicle at the parking of the Dockx Service Shop where you picked it up, lock it completely and deposit the keys in the provided key box.

Pick-up outside opening hours is only possible via the Dockx app — and only for vehicles booked via the app (Mini Van, Mega Van, Easy Box).

Note: as a renter, you remain responsible for the vehicle until a Dockx employee officially takes it over.

Yes, it's possible — subject to prior agreement. You arrange this at the Dockx Service Shop where you picked up the vehicle, or you select this option during your online booking. For this, we will charge a supplement of €50 (incl. VAT).

Via the Dockx app, returning to another location is not yet possible. You pick up the vehicle at the chosen location and return it to the same location after your rental.
